FINISHING WASHERS BLACK OXIDE

This is a raised type finishing washer, which is convex shaped, designed for accommodating the heads of 82 degree countersunk flat and oval head screws. It provides additional bearing area on the material being fastened and can be used to give a neat, finished appearance.

Countersunk finishing washers are typically supplied with a nickel plating, but other coatings such as black oxide are also popular.
